Road Trip
Hope the Raya celebration going well for you all. Mine I guess it is ok. As you all might known, I’m going back to Alor Star, Kedah on the Raya night itself.
Below is sort of the chronological order of that trip.
9.36 – Depart from my home at Kemensah. Behind the national zoo. I bought a small apartment around that area. (Have not enough money to buy myself a double-storey house). Make a stop at Petronas petrol station at Batu 6, Jln Ipoh (That’s what the sign says anyway). Full tank and ready to go.
10.15 – Arrive at Jln Duta Toll and surprisingly the traffic is flowing. I’ve been using Touch ‘N’ Go for a couple of years now and I’m surprised that there are still many people queuing to get the ticket. I’m grateful for that. I don’t have to buy the Smart Tag.
11.54 – Arrive at Tapah R&R. Did not get out. NAP time….zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz for ½ hour. Quite a heavy rain. The petrol station there is quite packed.
12.58 – Arrive at Ipoh Selatan Toll. It was something like RM26.40 for the trip.
1.08 – Arrive at Ipoh Utara Toll. Still raining. Traffic is still not heavy. Not expecting anything anyways. Look at the time!!!
1.45 – Taiping resting place. Another NAP time. …….zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
2.14 – Naps over. On with the journey.
2.56 – Arrive at Juru Toll.
4.08 – Home Sweet Home. Hit the sack.
It was raining most of the time during the trip from KL to Alor Star. And for goodness sake, the Express buses is still a speed demon. I was pushing 110 km/h (I’m driving a 5 years old Iswara, that is the speed that I would dare) and the Express bus overtake me.
Somewhere up there is the time when we pass through the tunnel, but I cannot recollect the time. (I’m getting older!!!).
What I can say about my first day of Raya?
I SLEPT MOST OF THE TIME
