PC Blues

Strange things have been happening to my PC this past few days. (Not sure strange but may be expected things) I have to format it a few times. Not sure what is happening but might be the hard disk going AWOL. (Kaput!!).

So, yesterday night, there’s my PC and me. Just upgraded it a few months back. My current specs -

Pentium 4 - 3.0 ghz HT
MSI 915G Combo
NVidia PCI-x n6200 128
1GB DDR400
40GB - OS
80GB - Data
SAMSUNG DVDRW

I know it’s not a killer specs but it should be able to handle all the games that I’m playing at the moment. Wacraft III : TFT, AOE3 & Fable. It should hold for another year or 2 before I need to go for another upgrade. * I hope * :)

There is one software that I’m using as MY RESCUE DISK, BART’S PE. PE??? Stands for Pre-Installed Environment. You can read all about it here. It’s a nifty program suitable for all you guys out there that needs to rescue your dead PC, IMHO.

Just create one CD and store it in a safe place. Who knows, might help you in the near future.

I finish installing the OS+drivers in about 1 ½ hours. (Give and take ½ hour). Install Warcraft III, AOEIII & Fable and it’s running okay.

Now, I am wondering when my next reformatting will be??
