My son’s annual kindergarten graduation & concert

Sunday, October 23, 2005 - During this fasting month, not a lot has happened. Everyday is the same routine. Wake up early, 5.00 am, ‘bersahur’ (Actually, I’m not sure of the English word for it and I’m just too lazy to look it up).

Get to work (Usually must arrive at the office before 9.00). During this holy month, we practiced staggered office hours. I ended up coming into the office before 8.30 and going back at 5.00pm.

Get the kids from the kindergarten and the baby sitter. Arrive at home around 6.30pm. Prepare for breaking fast. This is the weekdays routine. Repeat and rinse..

Well, this morning my son (Harith Akmal) had his kindergarten graduation and concert. Planned to start at 9am at De Palma Hotel in Ampang. For some reason it started late by ½ an hour. I’m not complaining as I’m also late. Nobody is perfect, right? *wink*

The event went quite smooth considering we are in the fasting month and it is SUNDAY morning. There are about 40 odd parents attending and if my eyesight is still 20/20, there is also a grandparent in the crowd.

Started with a dance from whom else, the kids. I do say so that some of the kids got talents.

Then, the welcoming speech from the Director of the Kindergarten and the VIP. The VIP officiate the ceremony.

The children then performed a sort of Mahsuri (Dance Drama) with a modern twist to it. They performed the song Kain Songket, Grease, Sekapur Sireh, Beat It & Tak Tahu? Two thumbs up to the kids and the teachers.

My son’s participate in Grease. And it made me so proud to see that my son is growing up well and have good teachers and friends.

To think about it, it seems that it was yesterday that he was born. Kids do tend to outgrow their shirts and pants very fast. It goes the same to my daughter and my youngest son.

Before you know it, they are entering their first day of kindergarten, standard 1, form 1, their first monkey love, big exams, etc… Time sure flies when you’re having fun, isn’t?

The ceremony ended around 11.30 am.

My son’s next big step is standard 1. Hopefully in 15 or 16 yrs from now, I’m still here to see my son’s graduation… from the University.

For my daughter(Dhamirah Irdina), next year it’s the kindergarten.

My youngest son(Haziq Adam)? He’s still just 2 yrs old. His time will come!!

  • Tq & no problem. seingat aku Iran nie mmg dia tak anggap Nabi Muhammad (S.A.W) sebagai Nabi terakhir.

Itulah, bab sembahyang boleh campur2. pelik sungguh.

Diorang pun agaknyer nengok kita pun pelik jugak. Posa pun diorang boleh berbuku lima!! Tak ingat akhirat kot?

Jgn byk bersedih nanti sumer tak jadik. Dugaan sumer tu.
