K.L. ohhh K.L.

Greetings from the almost half-empty K.L. or for the optimist half-full K.L. After the exodus of citizens from this city that contributed to massive traffic-jam since late last week, there are still people in K.L. I’m one of them.

Yes…I’m still in K.L. Yes…Still working at the office. You know what is the best part is? Well, for one thing there is not much of traffic in K.L. for obvious reason. So, my traveling (I ride a motorcycle to work!!) time from the baby-sitter’s house (Wangsa Maju) to the office (Jln Raja Chulan) is about 15 minutes. It was a smooth ride. It usually takes about a good ½ an hour. I wish that it could be like this forever and ever and ever and ever.

Wishful thinking??? Probably yes. Expected the traffic to be as usual after the Hari Raya celebration, may be somewhere later next week. Or then again, it could be in the week after that. Almost forgot, also need to put into account the school holidays into the equation. Normally, during this long school holidays the traffic will be less congested. Where are you guys heading for the long school holidays?

At the office, I’m counting the number of heads here. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7… Less than 10 people are at the office. My section? There are 2 of us here. Running on a skeleton crew. Hopefully I can go back around 3 p.m. today, but I doubt it.

Guest what? Yesterday, I’ve tasted for the first time nasi kerabu and the day before that nasi dagang. First impression? I think nasi kerabu is better. Again, it is a matter of taste. Some might go for nasi dagang. Some both.

I bought it at the ‘Pasar Ramadhan’ in Taman Melawati. Some call it Bazaar Ramadhan. It is usually very crowded to the extent that you have to bump shoulders with others just to get through. Past two days was a breeze but the shops are lesser.

Talking about food, there is one particular food that I do not like. LAKSA. I’m not sure why. I just don’t like it. May be my experience when I was young contributed to my dislikes to laksa. I will only eat it only when there is nothing else to eat and I’m really hungry. Well, it’s better than starvingggg.

Opss…. Better get to work.
