Proton Waja CAMPRO

Proton Edar today launched the new Waja fitted with a 1.6-litre CAMPRO engine, the same powerplant as that in the Gen2. The engine, Proton’s own, has a maximum power of 82 kW/110 bhp at 6000 rpm and maximum torque of 148 Nm at 4000 rpm. Claimed 100 km/h acceleration times are 10.8 and 13.5 seconds for the manual and automatic versions, respectively.

Available in Burgundy and Quick Silver, the new Waja CAMPRO features minor interior cosmetic changes that come in the form of leather seats front and rear, redesigned circular shaped air-conditioning vents, a new meter cluster and a 2DIN CD/MP3 player that replaces the 2DIN radio-cassette player fitted to the current model with the Mitsubishi engine of the same displacement.

The Waja CAMPRO is priced at RM59,888.20 for the manual version and RM63,888.76 for the automatic with full accessories.
